Our factory
We manufacture our natural products by hand in Frutigen in the Bernese Oberland mountains. Using selected raw materials and lots of passion and heart and soul.

It smells of herbs
Tried and tested, almost forgotten raw materials, grandma's recipes, natural alternatives. That's what fascinates us. We have been making our marmot herbal ointments by hand in Frutigen since 1992.
Our factory smells of herbs, beeswax and natural essential oils. You see people weighing, mixing and filling raw materials. You hear clattering, banging and hissing.
Today we are able to develop and produce our Swiss natural products in a modern factory, in our own building, with solar power from our own roof.
But it wasn't always like that. Our company history doesn't start in a garage, but in a cowshed. Just as it should be in the mountains. 😊

From the stable to the whole world
It all started in a stable. Not next to the cows, of course. They had long since gone.
Andreas Schmid converted the stable into a simple production room. Until 2016, we produced and bottled everything in this converted cowshed. With a mulled wine pot. That was the best solution for the space we had available.
Our marmot herbal ointments went from the stable to all over the world, as far as America and Australia.

Modern manufacturing
In 2016, the cowshed and the mulled wine pot were history.
In order to meet the growing demands on our product development and production, we have built a new, modern production facility.
This has enabled us to further improve the quality of our handmade Swiss natural products.

Handmade
We develop. We mix. We stir. We fill. Despite our modern facilities, a lot of our work is done by hand.
In addition to the manual production of our natural products, we also produce our own extracts from ingredients that we have grown and collected ourselves. Such as edelweiss, mountain houseleek and mallow extracts.
We use these high-quality essences exclusively for our own natural products.

Solar power from Frutigen
We manufacture our natural products using green electricity. This is ensured by the photovoltaic system on our roof.
The sustainable use of raw materials and energy is important to us. We can enjoy many warm, sunny days in summer and winter in our beautiful mountain valley of Frutigen.
With our photovoltaic system, we have taken another step towards more sustainable production. We will continue to try to improve step by step in the future.
