pure nature

Our products are pure nature. We only use renewable raw materials and do not use preservatives, fragrances and/or dyes, surfactants or emulsifiers. We work without parabens, paraffins, microplastics and palm oil. Whenever possible, we source the raw materials locally.

Since the beginning, people have used herbs in herbal medicine because of their active ingredients to strengthen health and to cure physical and mental ailments. The knowledge of the power of herbs and medicinal plants fills entire libraries. Even if there is not a herb for every illness, the healing methods that have been practiced for thousands of years have proven their worth alongside modern medicine. While in the past people relied exclusively on traditional knowledge and experience with medicinal plants, today their effectiveness is scientifically proven.

In recent years, natural and herbal medicine has become increasingly important. Increasing health awareness and self-determination in treatment methods have helped medicinal herbs to flourish in medicine and cosmetics.

Plants in cosmetics

Plants and their extracts, oils and fragrances play an important role in natural cosmetics. For our natural products, we look for the right components in nature and develop high-quality recipes. Each mixture is unique. They naturally promote your well-being and vitality and are good for your skin and body. The list of natural raw materials used is endless, which is why we only present the most important ones on this page.

Nature gives us everything we need. So everything we do is 100% natural. Whenever possible, we use local raw materials with short transport routes.

Plants in our products

We use homemade extracts from the leaves of the mountain houseleek. The plants that we plant and care for in allotments in the Frutigtal are incredibly undemanding and vital. With their fleshy, water-storing leaves, they are perfectly adapted to the weather conditions (e.g. extreme drought) in the mountains. The effect on human skin is similar to other succulents (e.g. aloe vera): mountain houseleek protects the skin from drying out and provides moisture. You can find mountain houseleek in our hand and foot balm, in the hemp Chnübi and in lip care, among other things.

Mallow has a wound-healing, skin-soothing, irritation-relieving effect and is especially suitable for dry and sensitive skin. We produce the mallow extract ourselves from the flowers and leaves. Ideal for our regenerating Vogellisi balm.

Fats and oils in our products

Our chamois fat comes exclusively from Swiss hunting. The consistency is very hard and is particularly easy to process when mixed with valuable oils. Chamois fat nourishes and cares for the skin very well. Dry areas of skin such as heels and elbows become smooth and supple again.

We use cold-pressed Lucerne rapeseed oil from controlled organic cultivation. It contains a high proportion of vitamins A, D, E and K as well as valuable omega-3 fatty acids. Due to its moisturizing and refatting properties, rapeseed oil is used in almost all of our Alpine natural cosmetics products.

Grape seed oil is very rich in vitamins. Thanks to polyphenols, it is particularly effective against free radicals. It is therefore very nourishing, moisturizing and tissue-firming. An anti-aging oil recommended for both mature skin and young problem skin. These valuable properties are particularly evident in the hand balm, foot balm, hemp Chnübi and lip care.

The local wheat germ oil has a high content of vitamin E and unsaturated fatty acids. It protects mature and heavily stressed skin from drying out and promotes regeneration. Ideal for delaying the aging process and the formation of calluses. It keeps the connective tissue healthy and is effective for scar care. Wheat germ oil is used in almost all of our care products.

Marmot oil is extracted from marmot fat, i.e. from the fat of the marmot. Our oil comes exclusively from Swiss hunting. This fat is processed under heat and remains in oil form up to a certain temperature. Marmot fat contains small amounts of natural substances that are related to cortisone. The Alpine inhabitants recognized its effect a long time ago. Marmot fat has been a tried and tested household remedy in Alpine folk medicine for over 500 years. This natural raw material has been proven to be effective in our ointments and oils for 30 years.

The local hemp oil contains, among other things, a high proportion of valuable omega-3 fatty acids, which have an anti-inflammatory effect. The hemp products come from the Lucerne hinterland and Graubünden - as the name suggests, you will find this valuable raw material in our Hanf Chnübi.

Wax and resins in our products

For our Alpine cosmetics we use fir resin from wild collection in the Frutig Valley. Fir resin has antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant properties and binds free radicals. It is known for its wound-healing, circulation-stimulating and astringent properties. It is used for cuts, skin abrasions, "sprouts", rough and cracked skin, fissures and skin irritations.
We use the fir resin in our foot balm and in the hemp Chnübi.

Our beeswax comes from honey bees in the Bernese Oberland. Natural and unbleached, this wax retains its beautiful yellow color and its pleasant, warm honey scent. It is very kind to the skin and serves as a natural consistency agent and preservative in our hand balm, foot balm, hemp Chnübi and lip care. Beeswax gives our Alpine natural cosmetics products shine and suppleness.

Honey is a tried and tested household remedy and has become an indispensable part of the cosmetics industry.
The valuable ingredients in honey act as a natural moisturizer, promote the regeneration of skin cells and thus give it elasticity. We use this high-quality raw material in Vogellisi Balsam and Bärgmüntschi.

Propolis is a resinous mass that bees produce to seal and disinfect gaps in their nests. It therefore serves as a resinous cement. This property can be used in cosmetics to regenerate cracked and dry skin. The propolis for our Hanf Chnübi comes from honey bees in the Bernese Oberland.
