Where does the meat for the game sausage come from?
The game sausage is available in two varieties:
Swiss game sausage All the meat in this exclusive sausage comes from Switzerland. The venison and chamois meat come from Swiss hunting. The pork bacon also comes from Switzerland. You can recognize the Swiss game sausage by the red label.
Game sausage Some of the game meat here comes from the EU, as we cannot obtain the meat in the desired quantities from Swiss hunters. The venison meat comes from the EU, the chamois meat from Switzerland and/or Austria. The pork bacon comes from Switzerland. You can recognize the game sausage by the green label.
Where is the game sausage made?
Our delicacies are produced in collaboration with professionals and connoisseurs.
The game sausage comes from the hands of selected butchers in the Bernese Oberland. The careful preservation, maturation and smoking process creates the unmistakably spicy taste.
How long can I keep the game sausage?
The game sausage is vacuum packed and you can keep it for about 3 months. The expiration date is always noted on the packaging. Store the game sausage in a cool place in a good cellar or in the refrigerator. After opening, you should consume the game sausage within 3 to 6 weeks.
Don't throw the sausage away straight away if it's past its expiration date. If stored properly, a dried sausage can be kept for longer. Unfortunately, we can't give you any guarantees. We have to mark the expiration date on the game sausage. This is a requirement. Unpack the sausage, smell it and decide for yourself.
