Herbal tea: the natural, tasty and healthy thirst quencher
The select herbs for our tea blend come from careful wild collections or from herb gardens in the Bernese Oberland. Planted, collected and bottled by the Bad Heustrich Foundation in Emdthal. Bad Heustrich is a social institution. In order to preserve the valuable aromas, the leaves and flowers are lovingly harvested by hand, left whole and gently dried. We only collect a few kilograms of them each year.

Find peace
We should drink 1.5 to 2 liters of liquid every day. However, the amount we need depends on our age, gender, physical activity and state of health. If we drink too little, this can be noticed in various ways. Water, mineral water and unsweetened tea are preferable to sugary drinks and fruit juices.
Making tea is as simple as it is effective. People have always known about the power of herbs and have used them as a pleasure and as a medicine. In England and Japan, tea ceremonies have a significant tradition. But we also like to drink tea here; whether with a fondue, as a thirst quencher or just to relax.

To allow the leaves and flowers to develop their full aroma, add up to 2 tablespoons of herbal tea loose into a teapot. Boil about 1 liter of water and let it stand for about a minute before pouring in the tea. After about 5 to 7 minutes of steeping time, your delicious herbal tea is ready to enjoy. Drink your tea unsweetened. If you still like it a little sweet, use some Swiss honey.

Did you know?
our gourmet tip
You can also make your herbal mixture in cold water. To do this, let a portion of tea steep for about half an hour. This drink tastes great in summer too. Cold, with ice cubes and a few slices of fresh lemon, it is a real treat for the palate.
