Fuchsschwanz mit Anhänger

Foxtail

Real fur

In the 1980s, foxtails were all the rage. It was particularly common among Opel Manta drivers to attach foxtails to rear-view mirrors and car antennas.

Today, the classic is a decorative key or bag pendant. Our fox tails come exclusively from red foxes in the wild. We do not use fur from farmed animals.

Our key rings are a decorative eye-catcher on your keychain.

Each deerskin keychain is unique with a unique coloring and structure.

Origin

Treating nature and wild animals with respect is very important to us. Our furs, animal specimens and antlers therefore come exclusively from hunting or fallen game. We get the majority of our products from Swiss hunters and only in exceptional cases from foreign hunters. We naturally declare the origin on the label. For our ointments and oils we only use fats that come from Swiss hunters, without exception.

Hunting and ethics

For us, there is no more species-appropriate way of keeping animals than in the wild. The wonderful raw materials within the strictly regulated Swiss hunt should be used sensibly and provide enjoyment for many years. It is important to us that the valuable fats, hides and antlers are also used in addition to the game meat.

Ask a Question

How can I order the furs, antlers or stuffed animals?

Furs, antlers and the lamps, blankets and accessories made from them are always unique pieces. They cannot be copied or produced in the same way multiple times. That is why you will not find such products in our online shop. The photos would at most be similar to the final product.

The best thing to do is to contact us directly with your requirements. Call us or write us a message. Then we can look for a suitable solution together. Or you can come to our shop in Frutigen and see what we can offer you.

Where do our furs and antlers come from?

Treating nature and wild animals with respect is very important to us. Our furs, animal specimens and antlers therefore come exclusively from hunting or from fallen game (accidents).

We source the majority of our products from Swiss hunters and only in exceptional cases from foreign hunters. We naturally always declare the origin on the label.

Do you all hunt marmots yourself?

This is neither necessary nor possible. Swiss hunting is regulated and monitored by the federal government and the respective cantons. There are quotas that are adjusted depending on the animal population in the respective cantons and distributed among the hunters. So the number of marmots that can be hunted each year is fixed and adjusted to the population. The population of these wild animals is controlled by hunting in order to prevent and contain overpopulation and thus diseases.

We have a large network of Swiss hunters and buy the valuable marmot fat, chamois fat and badger fat directly and exclusively from them. This is a lot of work, as each individual hunter is dealing with smaller quantities of marmot oil, chamois fat or badger fat.

Hunting & Ethics, the moral question
